Opinions, Opinions.

I know I haven't blogged in a LONG while. A long long while. The hectic-ness (another word created by me) of school life, and a gazillion other things could contribute to my lack of blogging. And sheer laziness of course.

This opinionated post is inspired from the song How Far We've Come - Matchbox 20.

But I, believe, the world is burning to the ground.
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna find out.
Let's see how far we've come.
Let's see how far we've come.
Well I, believe, it all, is coming to an end
Oh well, I guess, we're gonna pretend,
Let's see how far we've come.

It's the chorus.

The strange part is how those lines have so many various meanings. A thousand people would interpret these lines in a thousand different ways.

Someone told me that they feel the chorus refers to global warming and another friend said, "I think it's about closing a chapter in life and opening a new one." I also remember somebody saying this song was about a broken relationship.

I agree and disagree with them. Their opinions make sense but I personally feel the entire song asks a question about humanity's progress in life, but at what cost ? Even now, everyone in the world knows we're slowly destroying our planet (and not just environmentally), but like the chorus said, we'll just pretend to not notice. We'll just wait and find out, right ?

Oh and just in case anyone was wondering what the song is REALLY about, check their video out. It explains the band's point of view.

PS : Sorry for the late post. Also, the song of today has definitely been 'Turn Me On - Kevin Lyttle'. Anyone who hasn't already heard it a million times, GET IT !
