Back!

And so after approximately 6 months (well, almost), I finally blog again!

I wanted to do a New Year - Tribute to 2008 type post, but somehow, I just didn't end up doing it. Probably because all of last year was too much to express in just one post. 2008 was by FAR the best year of my life yet. 11th grade - just brilliant till December (and not just the partying aspect of it).

Anyway, I was trying to come up with ONE word to describe 2008. Just one word. And I finally found the right one - 'Choices'. Last year was all about choices. Important choices I made, and I'm sure everyone else did too. I might have a few regrets, and there might be a couple of things I wouldn't mind changing in last year, BUT there's no point worrying about it now, so I rely on some French writer's quote (no seriously - Marcus something) which is, “The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be.”

He has a point.

I KNOW that I'm viewing the present as much worse than it actually is. And, I'm probably glorifying the past just a tad bit. I've actually seen other people do it as well - human nature, I guess. So my 'sort of new years resolution' is to try and NOT focus on the past (I tend to do that quite a bit), and actually try and enjoy the present, no matter HOW annoying it gets sometimes. :P

The thing with new years resolutions and I? Yeah. We don't get along that well. I pretty much CANNOT stick to my so called resolutions. I'll be really optimistic for this particular resolution though, and try to REALLY stick to it. Or atleast for the next six months.

Last year was also when we got Miillee - my extremely big, attention-seeking and perpetually hungry kitten. And I can truly say (without sounding, well, pathetic) that she's now an actual PART of the family. I don't remember life before we got her, and I can't imagine life without Miillee in the house.

=)

That's pretty much it for this post. One heck of a comeback post I say!

PS: New years resolution #2 (that I'll try and stick to) - BE REGULAR WHEN IT COMES TO BLOGGING.
