Valentine's Day - My Future Spouse.

Just recently, when I was wikiing some random topic, one wikipedia page led to another and I ended up reading up on the Middle Ages. Turns out that Valentine's Day was a pretty fascinating event back then too. During the Middle Ages, most girls believed that the first man they would see on Valentine's Day would be their future spouse.

Another reason why those times were often called the Dark Ages? :)

Everyone, just stop for a second (guys included, just change it up a bit - first girl you see on Valentine's Day is your future spouse) and imagine this, um, peculiar belief actually applying to your life.
I tried to remember the first man I spotted today, and guess what?

I'm marrying Ramu, our houseboy. Just perfect.

[Though I'm definitely better off than a friend of mine who realized that by using that concept, her future spouse was her brother. Ugh.]

On a less disgusting (and pretty awesome) note though, a couple of my friends ended up getting an absolutely adorable Valentine's Day doughnut cake, which inspired me to do a little shout out to all the people I love. In the words of Michael Franti,

Since Nishant insisted that I use the word 'dally' somewhere in this post, I shall be as innovative as possible.
I must stop dallying during my study leave and use this time productively.

Sigh.

Hey everyone,
I personally despise having to keep my comment moderator on, but due to the fact that I attract spam comments like Miley Cyrus attracts stalkers (phrases such as these are classic symptoms of YouTubeaholism), I'm going to have to keep moderating comments. I love constructive criticism but I LOATHE spam. :)

YouTubeaholism.

It's become my new cold coffee, my new Facebook, my new camera, my new Entourage and my new polo. And, when I say polo, I mean 2 packets a day kind of polo addiction.

I never thought I'd be one to join the ranks of the YouTubeaholics. But here I am, going through videos ALL day, sometimes even watching old videos again (and again and again and again). It's quite sad. Especially since I'm supposed to be at home for a 'study break'. It all begins with a friend sending me a link to some video, which I then watch and usually appreciate. By appreciate, I mean I end up looking at similar videos for an hour or so, and then glance at the time, get scared and tell myself, 'LAST video. Seriously.'

An hour later, since I'm still at my laptop, I send my friend an abusive mail. :)

Okay, I don't actually send the person an abusive mail. That would be a little crazy. Freaky, really.

On a more positive note, my YouTube addiction led to me realizing that I need something interesting to do. [And no, studying does not count you sad SAD people!]
Hence, my return to the exciting world of blogging! Or in a lamer fashion, the blogosphere. I haven't used that word in AGES. It feels kind of good actually.

Blogosphere. Blogosphere. Blogospheeere. Blogosphereee. Bloggggosphere. Blogosppphere.

Wow, no wonder people leave me spam comments. o_O
