This is a short and simple post.
For those of you who have seen the trailer of the 'Simpsons Movie'
(http://www.apple.com/trailers/fox/thesimpsonsmovie/), you may know what I'm talking about below.
In the trailer, there's this ADORABLE little white bunny who's dancing around on this big patch of grass with lots of happy flowers!! The bunny's all happy and then all of a sudden this big rock title thingey saying "THE SIMPSONS MOVIE (IN 2D!)" falls down on the little bunny and crushes him - he dies :'(!
Anyway, the point of saying that was about how you can look at the trailer from a different angle. The bunny represents our hopes. The "title" is the obstacle(s) we face in our lives. We make one wrong decision and all our hopes get crushed just like the little bunny. I know the trailer's just a hilarious joke, but it appears to have a deeper meaning (I'm sure unintentionally:P). The worst possible thing to do (according to me), is to not move on in life. Even if all our hopes are gone, we need to get on with life because it won't wait for us to feel alright once again. It may not be easy, but life doesn't wait and neither should we.
I wonder, if the 'bunny' within us dies, how do we move on in life?
If we lose hope, then how can we try again?
If our hopes get crushed, shouldn't we pick ourselves and walk on?
If we stop, the world won't wait.
If we give up, we'll lose out on a lot in life.
Maybe we shouldn't let our hopes get crushed in the first place.

Oh since we're toking about not crushing hopes, you should see the "pursuit of happiness" its a story with a truckload of almost crushed hopes...

Firstly shalaka..nice post..like anish said on my post..in your immature years and rather childish writing..there is some sense and some maturity.
Secondly menaka..which world do u live in..our hopes DO GET CRUSHED!!
and very often they die..they dont always prevail..you need to be strong, you need the support..everone dosent have that!!
Think about it..my biggest hope in life is getting crushed by my mom right now..only time will tell if i can persue it and if it prevails..it dosent have to.
hmmm sk what i meant to say is...u have a hope...it dies in the sense you didn't get it....what you hoped for
but you still have the hope and desire....
but yea i do agree that you have to be strong to overcome it,but u can always hope...
oh but i take away the "hopes dont die"part...they do eventually... they fade away...

bunnies live in burrows - hopes in our minds
bunnies die to form organic matter- hopes die to form new hopes

Wow! I nevr looked at the Simpsons' Movie trailer THAT way!! Great post....
When i saw the trailer,thats not even close to how i looked at it..that is the bunny being our hopes n all!!But what your saying is true all the same.
Hopes may die...they may get crushed...and if they do we have to learn to overcome it fearlessly.
It's not the end of life.We have to aspire for something better.As rayna said--it will make us stronger.
And sk--Your right...but you always have support and help from someone..someone is always there who cares and that will help you overcome it.
By the way..
Its Pursuit of 'Happyness' and not 'Happiness'..and mini is right..you have to see that movie..i haven't seen the full thing..but it is really good!

i looked at the bunny as a representation of my hope that simpsons would be a good movie,and it got crushed :D,good post..someones becoming philosophically enviromental..looking forward to more posts..
